I'm Richard Gosling

Gosling Gardens is mostly just me. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Landscape & Garden Design, a Diploma in Horticulture and over 30 years experience working in garden design, landscaping and garden maintenance. I ran my own design and landscaping company for 14 years, having the privilege of building hundreds of gardens of all shapes and sizes including a few for some of the country's leading garden designers. Sadly that business didn't survive as I found being the boss very difficult and managing people the hardest thing. I've been landscaping and gardening as a sole trader for the last 10 years where I'm responsible for just me - and my customers gardens, of course! I am happiest working outdoors, on my own, with a job to do and the freedom to get on with it.
