Contemporary Cottage Garden

Front and back gardens built over consecutive winters turning them into plant-filled, functional spaces to enjoy year-round. The back garden comprised more cottage style planting, especially around the lawn and pergola, whereas the front garden was more naturalistic in planting stryle around the birch trees and more structured by the house. The gravel vegetable garden area was separated from the driveway using a hornbeam hedge planted in a raised bed, which brought the upper level close to the house, enclosing gravel area and making it more intimate.
